We stay here frequently on our way to the Sierras from the Fairfield area. It's not the Ritz, but it is a functional and reasonably priced park. We try to give plenty of notice so that we can get a site that fits our 40' motor home. Decent cable and good Wi-Fi are pluses. For the most part the trees don't hamper a satellite signal. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Betabel is still one of the best on Hwy 101 in Northern California. Friendly, helpful staff managing a clean well organized park with great prices. The others in the area are either dumps or way over-priced and usually have management that is less than friendly. We stay here a couple of times per year when going to the central coast and at least one week each summer to get a break from the Sacramento Valley heat.
Beware of this park! Its rates are way too high for what you get and there are extra charges for everything; pets, Wi-Fi, better sites, pool access, guests, etc. There are two pages of rules that seem to apply only to those staying less than a month. It’s an old park that has not been well maintained. There are constant problems with both the water and electricity going off for hours. Most roads are rutted gravel and cause lots of dust. Plan on washing your vehicles frequently and keep your windows closed. Oh, it has a nice pool, however, on warm days it is usually filled with ill-behaved kids who don’t appear to be residents. It looks like some of the permanent residents are running child care businesses. The park caters primarily to transient workers or military who have older units that are secondary residences and look like it. If you must stay in Vacaville, there are limited options. Midway RV Park next door is about the same quality, but cheaper and fewer add on charges. There are also much nicer parks closer to San Francisco or in Sacramento.
A great park and a goo value! It's in a countryside area, but close to south Santa Clara county attractions and the Monterey Bay. It is clean, secure and well maintained.
We're full timer here because of a job assignment in Vacaville. This park is OK, but well worn and overpriced. They charge Southern California resort prices for 2 star accommodations. There are up charges for everything; WiFi, pets, decent sites, and etc. There were lots of long termer guests like us. This park and a similar one next door are the only local options, because the trailer parks in town that allow RV's are all pretty trashy. On the plus side, the staff is friendly and helpful, it's very quiet and has a nice pool.
We stopover here a couple of times a year on our way to & from South California. Nothing fancy, but a nice clean park with a friendly and helpful staff. Lots of long termer guests, which we don't mind as long as the sites are maintained and they don't disturb us. Not much nearby, so we usually pack that evening's meal or stop at Pea Soup Anderson's on the way down.
This appears to be an older park which is overdue for an upgrade. Sites are wide enough, but maximum length is only 40' which makes it a tight fit for bigger rigs especially when vehicles are parked in the driveway. Most residents are long term or transient workers types. On the plus side, the management is helpful, the park has a nice pool, the free WiFi works well and it's cleaner than most of this type.
This is an older Mobile Home park that is mainly occupied by long term RVers. Overall the maintenance is lacking and it's a bit cluttered. The laundry and restrooms are dirty. Most of back-in spaces are wide, but not really deep enough for a big rig. The pull-thrus are barely long enough, too narrow to maneuver or have a decent patio area. Way over priced for what you get!
Best park in Flagstaff! Spaces ere easy to get our 40' motor home in and out of. We didn't care much for the red lava rock on the sites. Everything, but the dog run was well maintained. We felt it was good place for a short summer stay.
A nice, big, clean resort with lots of amenities. It fairly close to all of the Tucson attractions. We stayed there at the end of June which means it was HOT! Customer service was very good and helpful. One great benefit is that you can get your RV serviced or repaired at the dealership for a reasonable price.
Typical desert park - limited shade, lots of gravel. We were just passing through from San Diego to Tucson. It's a bit far out of town, but we enjoyed the pool. Limited staff on weekends in the Summer, but the residents and security were extremely helpful.
We've been vacationing here for the past 10 years. Usually a week or two at Christmas and maybe a week in the summer. It continues to be one of the great parks and value regardless of location. Plenty of amenities if you choose to use them or you can just do your own thing in a clean, quiet environment. The park is always clean and well maintained. Only two minor complaints. 1. A park of this level should not be charging for wifi. 2. Customer service has degraded a bit recently as new and younger staff members are added.
Typical desert park - limited landscaping and little shade. Lots of amenities, but some were on shorter summer hours. Pull thru spaces are nothing, but stripes painted on blacktop. There is a price premium for better spaces. The park is set-up mainly for semi-permanent snowbirds. The staff was reasonably friendly and helpful.
The owners/managers of this park have gotten greedy. We've been stopping over at this park when travelling back and forth between Northern and Southern California for many years. Although they have a large pool and nice, clean facilities, it's not a high class destination resort. I just called to make reservations for this coming Christmas and found that the rates had almost doubled. What? For a narrow, muddy weed infested site just because I need 50 amp service. Oh, they've added WiFi, woopee! There are other parks in the area that I will be checking out rather than pay these ridiculous rates.
